Paul's father, Bruce Boutilier, started his first grocery store in Tantallon in 1925.
He operated a delivery business of grocery supplies after store hours serving the folks of Saint Margaret's Bay for many years.
He tried to retire for a few years but started selling lime from the old feed shed on the Boutilier property. The business grew, and in 1994 his son Paul took over the reins, renamed the business Boutiliers Lawn and Garden and operated a retail store as well as a landscape delivery business on his parents land.
The retail business had grown to a point that it was impossible to operate it safely and efficiently on the property anymore .The business grew "out of it's britches "and Paul had to decide to either relocate and continue with a retail store or run his delivery business...both were busy enterprises and he had to choose one.
So he decided to close the retail store in June 2011 and run his delivery business from a home office under the same name Boutilier's Lawn and Garden , the same phone number 826-7173 and the same website Boutiliers.ca
He is looking forward to continuing the family tradition of serving the people of Saint Margaret's Bay.
Serving the community since 1925
